Are You Ready For That Morning?

Are you ready for that morning
When the bells of judgment chime?
Have you heeded Heaven's warning
Of the coming end of time?

While the stream of life is flowing
Answer Heaven's call of love,
For your soul will soon be going
To that judgment seat above.

Ere the night of death comes falling
Ending life's ephemeral day
Now obey the gospel's calling
Let your sins be washed away.

Wash your soul in Heaven's river,
Rise from Calvary's crimson flood
With a hope of life forever
Through the Savior's cleansing blood.

What Makes People Different?
The story is told in the long ago
Of a man named Daniel you may not know,
At a tender age it was Daniel's fate
To fall into the hands of a king full of hate.

Nebuchadnezzar was that kings name,
He was filled with pride and looking for fame.
The wise men were threatened with losing their life,
Unless they interpreted what he dreamed in the night.

Daniel feared God as many do not.
This made him superior and increased his lot.
Daniel used wisdom and so did his friends,
Thus they expected a horrible end.

When Daniel spoke, the king's court paid attention.
Because of the things Daniel feared not to mention,
Daniel did not fear what others would do,
He spoke right out, leaving an example for you.

It took lots of wisdom to do what Daniel did
Especially since it started when he was a kid.
Were you trained like Daniel to "put God first in your life
Or do you mistake that as a cause to make strife?

The king did acknowledge Daniel's God as the God
But he continued on in the path that he trod.
Daniel stood firm and ref used to be changed.
The king wound up eating grass on the range.

Don't be foolish and follow men's views
Taking the wrong path can only hurt you.
Men mistake meanness sometimes as good breeding,
But it is all written out for our learning by reading.
